Pinterest reaches the Top 50 most visited sites

October 30th, 2012 | Social Media | Charlie | Comments Off

Photo-sharing site Pinterest has secured a place in the top 50 most visited websites in the US for September. It is currently ranked number 50, just below Verizon Communications Corporation.

The study, undertaken by ComScore, shows the top five most visited sites (in order), as Google Sites, Microsoft Site, Yahoo! Sites, Facebook.com, and AOL, Inc. All the big social media players, such as Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Myspace and LinkedIn make the list, although curiously, the blog-hosting platform WordPress does not make an appearance.

This is good news for the brands who are currently making good use of Pinterest, such as Asos, Free People, and Nike. (LINKS). As the number of visitors to Pinterest increases, we believe B2C brands will begin to get on board with this latest social media, and realize why they can’t afford to ignore it any longer.
