Facebook launched a new Timeline event last week, that lets the users share that they are expecting a baby, the due date and whether it will be a boy or girl. Appearing in the Celebrations home page sidebar beside birthdays, the feature replaces a more confusing option to add an “Expected Child” to the list of family members. Any additional information, such as who the other parent is, location where the baby will be born, can be added to the Timeline. Once published, the story will appear in the news feed immediately. The feature release follows the added ability to announce the date of your upcoming marriage. Facebook is heading more and more towards becoming a host for the most important moments in your life.
